iGradu8.com was created by an unemployed graduate. He studied a BA Marketing degree at The University of Chester 2007-2010, achieving a 2:1. Post university he made the mistake many graduates make, which is believing that with his degree he would be able to get the job he always dreamed of. After attending several interviews, negotiating with recruitment company, after recruitment company, and getting knocked back time, and time again he decided enough was enough…
Along his journey he made many observations in regards to how little support there is for graduates upon graduation. The only options are recruitment companies (who love to arrange job interviews, but do not like to get back to you if you don’t get the job), the university careers and guidance service (which at best is diabolical), and the unemployed hang-out, yes the Job Centre. With no real support structure available to him, and limited experience opportunities he decided to make his own experience, and basically make himself more employable as an individual.
How iGradu8.com differs from the advice given by recruiters is that, iGradu8.com has experiened the difficulties in finding employment within a struggling economy first-hand. We are not making money out of graduates, we are simply here to advice you of how you should get the jobs you deserve. Recruitment consultants are nice people, especially when they are getting a nice lump some of cash from your salary. Our primary aim is to ensure graduates get the jobs they deserve, at minimal cost to organizations, and more importantly, at a minimal cost for graduates.
