The Best Job Sites

Top 3 Graduate Job Sites

As soon as people began to realise how much money there was to be made from the recruitment industry (and the lack of experience/skill involved in finding employments due to job site search engine technology developments) every man and his dog got on board during the 90s. Having experienced the reality of this, being once unemployed graduates ourselves, we know which sites are the best.

This is a short list, based on relevancy of targeted e-mails, site search engine specificity, and number of graduate type roles:

Monster.com

  • Advantages - A globally established job site, with operations in every continent on the planet. It is a success because it understands the importance of relevant job advertisements. It uses search engine technology called 6Sense, which enable recruiters to target candidates with extreme effectiveness.
  • Disadvantages - Due to its global presence, and recognition for being well established, they have thousands of members, meaning thousands of users are going to be seeing the same jobs – Increasing the difficulty in landing a job if interviewed.

Reed.co.uk

  • Advantages - Reed is not only a job site, but it is also a recruiter. This means that they have greater control over the process from registration to interview. This accompanied by better trained staff than most outsourced recruiters, means that they are a trsuted site. We know of graduates who have found employment with them.
  • Disadvantages - Emails at times can be irrelevant.

Milkround.com

  • Advantages - Milkround.com specialise in graduate jobs. They are a recruitment site and attempt to fill vacancies internally, contacting employers and contacting potential candidates. Your likelihood of finding work with them is best when registered in advance of graduation.
  • Disadvantages - Graduate roles can be irrelevant at times, but overall a smart choice for registering. As graduate schemes often intake annually you can often miss out on opportunities and find yourself waiting around for a year until the next exciting opportunity.
